Amie M. Marcou

Amie M. Marcou is an Associate at Boyle | Shaughnessy Law in the firm’s Providence, Rhode Island office. She concentrates her practice on personal injury and property damage claims, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction litigation, wrongful death and catastrophic injury. Amie’s legal experience includes pre-suit investigation as well as all stages of litigation including pleadings, fact and expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, alternative dispute resolution and preparing matters for trial. Amie has represented a number of clients at mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Prior to joining Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Amie was an Associate Attorney with a Rhode Island litigation firm with a focus on creditor’s rights, commercial litigation and products liability defense.
Amie graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2016. Throughout her entire law school career she has worked as a law clerk with private litigation firms in Rhode Island, concentrating in personal injury law, medical malpractice, land and zoning disputes and civil rights. Additionally, Amie was an Advanced Clinic Student Fellow in the law school’s Business Start-up Clinic. This position included assuming primary responsibility for client matters including federal trademark registration, drafting operative agreements and related governing documents for business start-ups and existing non-profit corporations. Amie was also Pro Bono Collaborative Law Student Partner, where she assisted attorneys in providing ongoing representation throughout the guardianship process as it pertains to disabled children about to enter adulthood.
