Jeff is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on insurance defense, insurance coverage, commercial litigation and construction-related matters.  In addition to representing insureds under Commercial General Liability (CGL), E&O, Inland Marine, Homeowners and Auto Insurance Policies, Jeff consults with developers, contractors and individuals related to real estate development matters.  Jeff’s philosophy is to provide his clients with all of the necessary legal analysis together with all case-related information so that clients can make the most informed decisions to further their objectives. Jeff has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts and routinely utilizes alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation in an effort to reach the most efficient and cost-effective results for his clients.  

Among his many cases, Jeff obtained a defense verdict after a 3 week jury trial representing the general contractor on claims brought by an abutting business owner for business interruption, negligence and trespass in the construction of a golf course.  Quirk v. McCourt Construction company, et al., Norfolk Superior Court, Civil Action No. 99-445. Jeff successfully defended a developer/contractor of a residential subdivision brought by a neighboring homeowner alleging damage to their home and property due to blasting and water diversion. Ball v. Finelli, at al., Worcester Superior Court, Civil Action No. 98-2506. Jeff has also represented and consulted with land owners, building owners and developers in the construction of solar projects throughout Massachusetts.
