Janine D. Kutylo
Janine Kutylo is a Shareholder with the Boston office of Boyle | Shaughnessy Law where she practices in commercial litigation and disputes, products liability, construction litigation, fire and explosion litigation, premises liability, professional liability, transportation litigation, and liquor liability and dram shop related cases. Janine handles wrongful death litigation, cases involving catastrophic personal injuries and property damage, and cases with exposure well into the millions of dollars.
Janine defends corporations in cases involving allegations of negligent manufacture and design, negligent failure to warn, and strict liability. She handles litigation involving large-scale property losses and serious personal injuries resulting from fires and explosions. She defends environmental cases including contamination, asbestos, chemical exposure, and mold contamination claims. Janine represents owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in the defense of construction liability actions. She has represented medical professionals and pharmacies in liability actions and municipalities and police officers in civil rights lawsuits. Her civil litigation experience includes defending clients against disputes involving various negligence claims including premises claims, transportation-related accidents, sports equipment claims, and other complex matters.
Janine has successfully defended clients at trial and in various forms of alternative dispute resolution including arbitrations, mediations, and judicial settlement conferences.
Prior to joining Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Janine was a Partner at Clausen Miller, P.C., in Chicago, Illinois. She also completed a Judicial Externship with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.
Janine received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she was a member of the Loyola National Trial Team. She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies and Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C.
Prior to attending law school, Janine worked for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. She worked for two U.S. Congressmen and then for the U.S. House of Representatives International Relations Special Subcommittee to Investigate Weapons Transfers.
Janine lives in Winchester with her husband and three children.
