Boyle | Shaughnessy Law – Charity Bike Build

The joy of being a kid and being presented with your first bicycle is unmatched. Yet many children are unable to experience that joy. A group of employees from Boyle | Shaughnessy Law recently helped change that reality for a group of children associated with Boys & Girls Club of Boston. The result of their efforts was a generous donation of brand new bicycles, locks & helmets to the deserving children in the local community. The event took place on March 5, 2019 at the Boyle | Shaughnessy Law offices in Boston, Massachusetts.

Founded in 1893, the mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to help young people; especially those who are most in need, build strong character and help them realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders. They do this by providing: a safe haven filled with hope and opportunity, ongoing relationships with caring adults, and life-enhancing programs.

Alyse Faiella, Program Director at BGC Boston, graciously thanked the group in person at the event for their time and effort in building and donating 5 brand new bikes to some very deserving children. After the event, she added, “The members that we serve at this site primarily live within the development and would never dream of the possibility of owning a new bicycle, complete with helmet and lock.  The five bicycles built went to deserving members, ages 6-10.  They were hand-selected by staff at the program due to their participation, positive behavior, and greatest needs.”
